Peter C. Reilly, 79, a resident of Walpole, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Letizia (Paparazzo) Reilly for 51 years. He was born and raised in Stoughton, son of the late Bernard and Marie (Bannister) Reilly. Peter was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Class of 1964 and Stonehill College. He resided in Walpole for the past 15 years. Peter was an educator in Catholic schools for many years and was a longtime Principal at St. Catherine’s School in Norwood. He also was the owner for R&R Consultants for over 20 years. He enjoyed raising chickens, everything about Christmas and spending time at the beach. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and visits to his home on Nantucket.
In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his children, Sean P. Reilly and his wife Amanda of Newport, RI and Marisa Dean and her husband Donald “DJ” of Attleboro as well as his grandchildren, Hannah, Lillian and Seamus Reilly and Emily and Lauren Dean. He was the brother of Bernard David Reilly of Raynham, Bonnie Reilly-Malden, Bernice M. Cheverie and Colleen C. Reilly all of Stoughton and the late Stephen J. Reilly and Linda C. Costello. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, January 29 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond St., Walpole on Friday, January 30 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter‘s memory may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, 637 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA 02135 or www.csjboston.org.
