Phillip Charles Boyle

Phillip Charles Boyle, 81, a longtime resident of Easton, died peacefully at the Brockton Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2026 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Brockton, son of the late William T. and Mary (Moffitt) Boyle. Phil was raised in Brockton and graduated from Coyle Cassidy High School in Taunton, Class of 1962. He earned his Associate Degree from UMass-Amherst. Phil worked for Raynham-Taunton Greyhound Park for over 50 years and was the General Manager for many years. He also ran the Brockton Fairgrounds for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 653 in Easton. Phil was an avid golfer and member of Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton for 45 years. He loved his winters spent in Naples, Florida and summers spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his family, he loved spending time with his many friends.

Phil is survived by his children, Leanne Cardinal and her husband Steven of Bridgewater and Christopher P. Boyle and his wife Kristin of Easton, as well as his grandchildren, Zachary Cardinal and his wife Jane, Christian Cardinal and his wife Paige, Will Boyle and Avery Boyle. He was the brother of Patricia Howard of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Edward Boyle of Naples, FL, Kathleen White of Falmouth and Mary Louise Kepinski of North Port, FL. He is also survived by his longtime companion Susan Quinn of Easton, as well as his former wife, Patricia A. (Newell) Boyle and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many healthcare workers that helped Phil with such amazing care and compassion as well as those from Old Colony Hospice.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, February 17 from 4-7 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 7 PM. A Celebration of Phil’s Life will be held at a later date in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phillip‘s memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Office of Philanthropy, 529 Main Street, 4th Floor, Charlestown, MA 02129 or www.joslin.org.
