Phillip John Faria

Phillip John Faria, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Copley at Stoughton on July 17, 2025. He was the husband of Janice (Connell) Faria for 41 loving years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John Faria and Sally (Alessi) Faria and was educated at Catherdral High School of the South End of Boston. Phil worked as a School Bus Driver for Boston Public Schools for 15 years before retiring in 2019. He loved to drive to Newport or Bristol, RI for clam chowder, and visiting family and friends.

In addition to his wife Janice, Phil is survived by his children Michelle Faria and Michael Davis of Hyde Park, Phillip Faria and his wife Gail of Stoughton, Joni and her husband Peter Davies of Hyde Park, and Nicole England and her husband Robert of Walpole. He is also survived by his stepchildren Kristine Ansell and her husband Jim, Robert McDuffy and his wife Jana and Patricia McDuffy all of Wareham, and his 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by his siblings Robert Faria and Rosemary Faria Robinson and leaves behind his grand-nephew Stephen Faria and his wife Tina of Marshfield. The family would like to thank the Copley for their devoted care and time.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Wednesday July 30th from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil’s memory may be made to the Copley at Stoughton at 380 Sumner St, Stoughton, MA 02072.
