Ralph Sellitto, 57, died Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Avelino, Italy, he came to the US as a young man and settled with his family in Roslindale. He attended Boston Schools and was a graduate of West Roxbury High School. In 1991, he moved to Stoughton. He married Margaret T. Nee in 1995 and together they enjoyed the last 29 years of marriage and have raised their twin sons. In 2006, he started Sellitto and Sons trucking in Stoughton and, in addition to his family, became dedicated to his work. He enjoyed his work and the daily interactions with his customers and his friends. His trucks were always immaculate, and he took great pride in their appearance. Ralph also loved working on cars and spending time with the guys at Stoughton Auto. He built and rehabbed several different cars and enjoyed racing and spending time at the racetracks in the area. He also enjoyed spending time at Twin River Casino. Ralph, Margaret and the boys also loved to travel to visit family in Italy or Ireland and enjoyed trips to Florida. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing and being surrounded by his beloved family and his friends.
Ralph is survived by his wife Margaret T. (Nee) Sellitto and his two sons, Ralph M. Sellitto and Matthew A. Sellitto, all of Stoughton. He was the son of Maria (Sementa) Sellitto of Stoughton and the late Angelo Sellitto and was the brother of Matteo R. Sellitto of Brockton, Luigi Sellitto and Tina Brown both of Stoughton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
