Richard T. Civitarese

Richard T. Civitarese, age 94, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Dominic Civitarese and Anna (Tella) Civitarese, and moved to Stoughton in 1964 becoming a longtime resident. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice L. (Richards) Civitarese, with whom he was married to for 66 loving years before her passing in 2018. He worked at Westinghouse Electric for over 40 years as a draftsman. Richard loved gardening, tending to his yard, being outdoors, golfing, and bowling. Above all, he was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Kathy-Ann Davis and her husband Kevin Davis, Jr. of Stoughton and Donna M. Wood and her husband Carleton Wood, III of Brockton. He was the “Papa” to Richard Wood and Jason Wood. He is also survived by his siblings Rose Vassily of Brockton and Dominic Civitarese, Jr. or Dedham, and was preceded in death by his siblings Dotty, Eleanor, Gladys, Bridget, Marian, William, and Bernard.
