Richard E. “Dick” Corbett of Stoughton, 78, died following a sudden decline in health in the company of his daughters on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was the husband of the late Wendi J. (Ostrov) Corbett. Born and raised in Stoughton, son of the late John F. and Katherine (Markt) Corbett, he was educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Dick was a longtime resident of Stoughton. He worked as a lineman for New England Telephone and later NYNEX and Verizon for over 40 years and retired over 15 years ago. Dick enjoyed bowling and watching celebrity roasts and enjoyed watching movies with his wife. In his free time, he enjoyed eating pizza, going to flea markets and spending time with his beloved family. 

Dick was the father of Stacey M Corbett of Easton and Heather L Thistle of Brockton. He was also the proud grandfather of Kyle and Ryan Thistle of Brockton. Dick was the brother of John “Jack” and his wife Nancy of Stoughton, and the late Mary Maloney as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte.27) Stoughton, on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5-7 PM followed by Funeral Prayers at 7 PM.
