Robert M. Bagtaz, Sr. of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of Stoughton, MA, passed away on July 23, 2021, after a long illness at the ripe old age of 88 despite him saying "I feel perfectly fine". He was finally reunited with the love of his life Peggy. Born in New York City, to parents Mateo and Florence (Aughe) Bagtaz, Bob is survived by his children Robert Bagtaz Jr. and his wife Kelleigh of Plymouth, JoAnne & Scott Gambrazzio of Berkeley, Paul and his wife Janice Bagtaz of Avon, Eileen and her husband Robert Pina of Rochester, Richard and his wife Susan Bagtaz of Avon, and his daughter in law Roz Bagtaz of Rollinsville, CO. Bob also is survived by his caring sister Evelyn Sodec of Dorchester. He was Grandaddy to 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and "Uncle Bobby" to many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret "Peggy" (Duran) Bagtaz, his dear son, Mark Bagtaz, as well as his sister Teresa Carapezza.

Bob was a proud American who served in the Air Force during the Korean War and Studied at the School of Practical Art in Boston. He was a long-term member of the American Legion of both Stoughton, MA and Palm Bay, FL and the Moose Lodge of Palm Bay, FL. After his retirement as a Graphic Artist at Bradlees, he enjoyed camping, was an avid painter and enjoyed playing darts. He was even known to hit the Karaoke floor on occasion earning the nickname of "Willie Bob", in tribute to Willie Nelson. He was a self-proclaimed introvert that never missed an opportunity to be the life of the party, also self-proclaimed. Anyone that knows him is asked to raise a glass of his favorite "drink" in his memory, it would be quite appropriate.

Following a cremation and his wishes, a private "Celebration of Life" will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to V.A. Boston Healthcare System- GPF 5075 Hospice/Palliative Care, 940 Belmont St., Bldg. 7, Brockton, MA 02301.
