Robert "Bob" Bisson

Robert “Bob” Bisson, 90, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, September 26, 2022 with his loving family by his side.  He was the husband of Louise C. (Cellini) Bisson for 64 years.  Son of the late Irenée and Rose (Longchamps) Bisson, he was born in Springfield and raised in Chicopee Falls.  Bob resided in Stoughton since 1998.  He was a Major in the U.S. Army where he served for 20 years and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War before retiring in 1975.  He then worked for H&R Block in Brockton for 25 years until his retirement in 1995.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

 

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his sons, Robert E. Bisson and his wife Debora of Barnet, VT and David A. Bisson and his wife Christine of Brockton as well as his grandchildren, Kate Shaw, Todd Bisson and Ashlee Mondragon and great-grandchildren, Ari Richard, Cameron Shaw and Riley Bisson.  He was the brother of the late Irene Ham.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 1 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM.  Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM.  Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert‘s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
