Robert C. Casassa

Robert C. Casassa, 71, a longtime resident of Taunton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was the husband of Susan (Webber) Casassa for 32 years. Son of the late John A. and Mary (Ollerhead) Casassa and stepson of the late Barbara Casassa, he was born in Holbrook and raised in Stoughton. He was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton. Bob was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Massachusetts State Trooper for 25 years, spending many years with Troop D in Middleboro. He was dedicated to donating his time to community service programs. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bob was the stepfather of Jamie Theall and her husband Spencer of North Easton and Darren Mangott and his wife Lynn of Taunton. He was the grandfather of Cameron Theall, Sarah Theall, Makenna Mangott and Alex Mangott. He was the brother of Jack Casassa of Attleboro, JoAnn Flanagan of Jackson, NH and the late Marie Burns.
