Robert L. Maynard, 90, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of 24 years of Jean E. (Cox) Maynard. Born in Morristown, NJ, he was raised and educated in New Jersey and was a graduate of Bentley School of Accounting. Mr. Maynard was a Veteran of the US Navy and proudly served of over four years before his honorable discharge in 1954. He worked as an accountant for Howard Johnsons for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. After his retirement, he worked for Shaw's in Halifax and Randolph for several years. Mr. Maynard was a resident of Easton for the past 3 years, previously living in Holbrook for over 20 years and earlier raising his family in East Bridgewater. He was an avid sports fan and was an enthusiastic fan of the Patriots, and enjoyed being a season ticket holder for many years. He was an accomplished golfer and also enjoyed playing in the Howard Johnson's bowling league. He loved to travel and enjoyed trips to China, Russia and Australia and loved attending musicals and the Boston Pops.

Mr. Maynard was the father of seven sons, Steven Maynard of WA, Barry Maynard of Taunton, Brian Maynard of Raynham, Christopher Maynard of New Bedford, Robert Maynard of NV and the late Richard and Kenneth Maynard. He was the stepfather of Julie E. Hart of Easton and Jennifer Vitiello of ME. He was the brother of James Maynard of NJ and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Kilian Hill Rd. SW, Liburn, GA 30047.
