Robert D. Staula, 65, a longtime resident of Sharon, died peacefully at home on Monday, May 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the devoted husband of Roberta S. (Smith) Staula for 33 years. Son of the late Dominic J. and Genevieve R. (Porcaro) Staula, he was born in Brockton and raised in Stoughton.  He was educated in Stoughton schools and was a Class of 1977 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton. He was a resident of Sharon for 40 years. Bob was the owner of Staula Plumbing in Sharon since 1978. He enjoyed playing racquetball, dining out, especially Italian restaurants, boating down the Cape and rock & roll music but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughters, Julia R. Staula and Nicole G. Staula both of Sharon. He was the brother of Judith Sanford of Mashpee, Joanne Brousseau of Canton, Janice Lucchesi of Danbury, CT and Jane Buckman of Stoughton.   He was also the “Grandpa” to 4 cats and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.     

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, May 19 from 1-3 PM followed by Family Reflections at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert‘s memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215 (https://www.childrenshospital.org/).
