Ronald Petrelli

Ronald Petrelli, 78, died peacefully Monday, January 11, 2021, at his home, after a period of declining health. Ron was born in Boston's West End and was raised and educated in Charlestown. He was a 1960 graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and then attended Northeastern University. He was a member of the Air National Guard. In 1971, Ron married Marjorie S. He worked for Datel Systems which became Murata Power Solutions in Mansfield for over 35 years as a Sales Engineer, retiring in 2008. Ron loved martial arts and held a brown belt in Judo. He enjoyed teaching Judo to kids with his son. After retirement he practiced and taught Tai Chi. He was an active member of the Stoughton YMCA. A lover of animals, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking at the Blue Hills and camping in the White Mountains. He was the life of the dance floor at all weddings/parties. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son David Petrelli of San Francisco, and his daughter Laura Suwena and her husband Wayan of Walpole. He was the devoted "Papa" of Julianna and Kayla Suwena. He was the brother of Richard Petrelli and his wife Christine and the late Carol O'Brien. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, and his cat Axel.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
