Rosa (Vargas) Faria

Rosa (Vargas) Faria, 91, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 with her loving grandson, Luis Goulart by her side. She was the wife of the late Alberto Faria, Jr. She was born and raised in Faial, Azores, Portugal. Rosa came to Stoughton in 1960. She was a longtime stitcher at Randy's Sneaker Factory in Randolph and was a camera repair technician for Polaroid in Norwood before retiring in 1993. She enjoyed selling Avon products in her free time.

Rosa was the mother of Joseph A. Faria of Stoughton and his late wife Ann (Coy) and the late Olga Gomes and her surviving husband Louis of California. She was the grandmother of Chelsea Faria, Luis Goulart, Kristy Bradvica and the late Nicole Faria and great-grandmother of Reagen Nicole Filippini, Cadence Bradvica, Brittany Kay Goulart and Carter Bradvica. She was the sister of Jose Vargas of West Bridgewater, Alexandrina Carlos of Stoughton and Maria Eduina Avila of Brockton and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, private family services will be held with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
