Rosina M. "Rose" (Vanek) Levesque

Rosina M. “Rose” (Vanek) Levesque, 77, a longtime resident of Brockton, died peacefully at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, August 26, 2022.  Daughter of the late Maria (Vanek) Suritsch and Franz Stastny, she was born in Hennersdorf, Austria and raised in Vienna, Austria before coming to America at age 16.  She resided in Taunton and Raynham for 11 years before settling in Brockton over 50 years ago.  Rose was a stitcher for Stall & Dean in Easton for 5 years until her retirement in 2001.  Previously she had worked for Rina Sportswear in Brockton for many years.  She enjoyed crocheting and scratch tickets but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Ceven and her husband Scot of Raynham, as well as her granddaughter, Olivia Rose Ceven.  She was the sister of Maria “Mitzi” Mathison of Brockton and the late Elisabeth Sprenger, Anna Goulart and Ernst Sprenger.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
