Sandra (Mandaro) MacWade, 84, a longtime resident of Brockton, died peacefully at Alliance at West Acres in Brockton on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was the wife of Kevin J. MacWade for 62 years. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Anthony V. and Teresa R. (Russo) Mandaro. She was raised in Worcester and graduated from Worcester North High School, Class of 1958 and Worcester State College, Class of 1962. Sandra was a dedicated school teacher for many years, starting her career at St. Mary’s School in Stoughton then working at St. Patrick’s School and St. Edward’s School, both in Brockton before finishing her career at Massasoit Community College in Brockton where she taught for 13 years before retiring in 2019. She was an accomplished pianist and Assistant Executive for the Peabody Mason Music Foundation. She enjoyed reading and loved summers on Cape Cod, especially in Wellfleet.

In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by her children, Brendan A. MacWade and his wife Paula Castano of Manhattan, NY and Alexandra E. MacWade and her husband Christopher Prince of Brooklyn, NY, as well as her grandson Julian MacWade-Prince. She was the sister of Janice N. Ryan and her husband Mike of Miami Springs, FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 7 from 9:30-11:30 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra‘s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
