Sarah T. Pombo, 48, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after being stricken ill at her home in Stoughton. She was the daughter of Maria (Teixeira) Pombo and Jose Pombo of Stoughton. Sara was raised and educated in France and Stoughton, was a graduate of Stoughton High School. She continued her education at Curry College and UMass Boston where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in European History. She was a longtime employee of Boston University, a job that she enjoyed and made many lasting friendships at. She was an avid reader and loved reading books about Asian, Japanese and European History as well as the Holocaust. Sarah enjoyed going to the beach and loved traveling both in the United States and Europe. She had fond memories of trips to Madeira, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, California and New York City. Sarah’s happiest times were spent surrounded by her children, friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by her two children, Jesuina P. Pombo Jennett and Ayrton D. Pombo Jennett, both of Stoughton. She was the sister of Romeo Pombo and his wife Katie of Stoughton and the aunt of Ava, Mya and Siana Pombo. She is also survived by many friends and relatives.
Private family services were held. Donations in Sarah's memory may be made to the Angell Memorial Hospital/MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
