Shirley (Baptista) Catalano, 86, died Sunday, October 18, 2020, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitiation Center in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late John F. "Jack" Catalano. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a 1953 graduate of Stoughton High School and a lifelong resident of Stoughton. Shirley worked as a Clerk and Pharmacy Tech at CVS in Stoughton for many years, retiring several years ago. Previously, she worked at Roxie's, Crowell's Market and at the Goddard Hospital. She was the former president of Stoughton Association of Exceptional Citizens (SAEC) for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed taking cruises with her husband and daughter Candace and spending time with her beloved family.
Shirley was the mother of Jon S. Catalano and his wife Laurie (Ralston) of Lakeville, Candace J. Catalano of Stoughton and the late Sheree Keiser. She was the grandmother of Jennifer Catalano, Brian Catalano, John Keiser and Erin Keiser. She was predeceased by her siblings, Armand Baptista, Irene Daversa and Vivian Hughes, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 9-10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception church in Stoughton at 11:00 am with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
