Stephanie Priscilla Cervantes, age 38 of Connecticut, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Stephanie was the beloved wife of Jesus Cervantes, with whom she shared eight wonderful years of marriage. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of Leslie (Alvarez) Martinez and Julio Callejas and was educated in the Boston Public School system before attending UMass Boston, where she earned her bachelor's degree in political science. Stephanie was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy was spending time with her two beloved daughters, Eva and Sofia. Stephanie loved traveling and making memories with her family, especially taking trips to Arizona, camping adventures, relaxing days at the beach, and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader, always happy to get lost in a good book. She also had a love for flowers and the color purple. Family was the center of Stephanie's life, and she was deeply devoted to those she loved, and found strength through her unwavering faith in the Lord. Even throughout her illness, she faced each day with grace, determination, and love for her family.
In addition to Stephanie’s husband Jesus, she leaves behind her daughters Eva and Sofia Cervantes, her parents, Leslie (Alvarez) Martinez and Julio Callejas, and her siblings Alejandro and Alexandra Callejas. She also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Friday August 28th from 9-11 AM, with a short Funeral Prayer at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
