Susan M. (Figueiredo) Ray

Susan M. (Figueiredo) Ray, 55, died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner, after a long period of declining health. Daughter of the late Joseph and Armenia (DaCosta) Figueiredo, she was born in Boston and raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1988 Graduate of Stoughton High School. She was a resident of Attleboro for the past 8 years. Susan’s life revolved around her family and she was a dedicated homemaker and mother of 4. Susan was a very creative woman and enjoyed setting up elaborate displays for Halloween and Christmas for neighbors to enjoy. An animal lover, she was a gifted baker and enjoyed gardening. In her free time she enjoyed being surrounded by her family and her friends.

Susan was the mother of Toni Lee Ray and her husband Randy Scarver of FL, Chelsie M. Sullivan and her husband Rob of Templeton, Marissa E. Castro of Attleboro and Andrew P. Castro of Templeton. She was the grandmother of Malik and Maliyah Scarver. Susan was the sister of Joann Wood of Taunton, John Figueiredo of Raynham and the late Joseph Figueiredo and Edward Figueiredo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4-7 PM with Funeral Prayers to follow at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Pl., Boston, MA 02215.
