Thelma M. (Arsenault) Machado

Thelma M. (Arsenault) Machado, 97, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was the wife of the late Robert "John" Machado. Daughter of the late Sylvere and Josephine (Perry) Arsenault, she was born in Chelsea and raised in Saugus. Thelma was a graduate of Saugus High School. She resided in Stoughton since 1962. She worked at RCA in Needham for over 10 years before working at Morse Shoe for 15 years until her retirement many years ago. She was an active member at the Stoughton Senior Center.

Thelma is survived by her sons, Raymond E. Fisher and Dennis P. Machado both of Stoughton, as well as her stepchildren, Howard "Sonny" Fisher, Ron Fisher, Bobby Fisher, Grover Fisher, George Fisher, Gloria Kirkey, Roberta Bates, Bunny Sallop and the late Christine Monteiro. She was the sister of the late Edward Arsenault, Matilda Karwanski, Helen Fields, Buster Arsenault and Arthur Arsenault and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, September 29th from 9:30-11:00 AM with Funeral Prayers from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
