Theresa R. DeAguiar

Theresa R. (Rodrigues) DeAguiar, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was the wife of the late Manuel DeAguiar. Daughter of the late Virgilho and Sebastiana (Marcelino) Rodrigues, she was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. Theresa moved to Stoughton in 1963. She was an assembler at Northrup Grumman in Norwood for over 20 years before retiring in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, watching wrestling and listening to country music but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Theresa is survived by her children, Maria Rita Anderson and her husband Allen of Avon, Judy Kelly and her husband Stephen, Ivone Mahan and her husband John and Manuel DeAguiar, Jr. all of Stoughton and Cecilia DeAguiar of Voluntown, CT. She was the sister of João Rodrigues of Brazil. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 25 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
