Thomas J. Lynch Jr., 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the love of his life, Kathleen M. (Clark) Lynch for 58 years. Son of the late Thomas J. and Anne M. (Bowman) Lynch, he was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain. Tom was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School, Class of 1959. He resided in Stoughton for over 50 years. He spent his career working on various computer applications at Badger Inc., Raytheon and Technip all in Cambridge before his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed over 50 years of troubleshooting state of the art CAD and Piping Systems.
Tom and Kathy had a special marriage over the last 58 years as they were inseparable. They spent their time tending their flower gardens trying to create the perfect mix of colors. Mention of the Maine coast would bring a smile to Tom’s face. Tom and Kathy spent many vacations walking the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, exploring the coastline searching for the perfect restaurant and just watching the ocean from the beautiful beaches. They created memories that will last forever.
In addition to his wife Kathy, he was the father of the late Kristina M. Lynch and John Thomas Lynch. He was the brother of Anne Lynch of Jamaica Plain, Francis Lynch of Raynham and the late Paul Lynch and Robert Lynch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Copley at Stoughton for their dedicated care of Tom.
