Timothy F. O'Sullivan

Timothy F. O’Sullivan, 85, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at his home in Stoughton, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Kilcummin, Co. Kerry, Ireland, he was raised and educated in Kilcummin and came to the United States in 1957 and settled in Jamaica Plain. In 1968, he married Rose McGillycuddy and together they shared over 56 years of marriage and raised 3 beloved children. They moved to Stoughton in 1968. Timmy proudly became a US Citizen in 1966. He worked as a Construction Worker for the Devereaux Construction Company in Boston, a job he enjoyed, for many years and retired several years ago. His family was the center of his life and Sundays were set aside as Family Day. He enjoyed their day trips and frequent trips to Boston and was an avid fan of the Bruins and Patriots. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family.

In addition to his wife Rose (McGillycuddy) O’Sullivan, he is survived by his children, Deirdre M. Lyons and her husband Kevin of Hingham, Brenda M. O’Sullivan of Stoughton and Kevin T. O’Sullivan of Maine. He was the beloved Dadu of Majella R. Lyons and Maeve E. Lyons and Timothy N. O’Sullivan. Timmy was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 7:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Randolph at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Timmy’s memory may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 333 Turnpike Rd., Southboro, MA 01772.
