Virginia Maria "Ginny" (Margarite) Popovich

Virginia Maria “Ginny” (Margarite) Popovich, died January 14, 2026 in Muncie, IN. Born in Brookline, daughter of the late Antonio and Marjorie Margarite, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1965 graduate of Stoughton High School. After High School, she attended Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. She made her home in Muncie, Indiana, for many years, where she was known for her kind and sensitive nature. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Ginny had a heart for others and a special love for animals. She was a devoted member of her church in Muncie, finding joy in her faith and the fellowship of her community.

Ginny was the sister of Stephen T. Margarite and his wife Deborah of Easton and, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Alyward, and her husband Joe Popovich. She is also survived by 3 nephews.

May Ginny’s memory live on through the countless lives she touched with her warmth, comfort, and compassion.

Graveside Services will be with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, Tuesday, May 12 at 11:00. Friends are welcome to attend. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home.
