Walburga F. "Bucky" (McDonald) Conti

Walburga F. “Bucky” (McDonald) Conti, 90, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Arbors at Stoughton, after a long period of declining health.  She was the wife of 67 years of the late Lawrence F. Conti, who passed away in January.  Daughter of the late Walburga and Russell McDonald, she was born in Boston and raised in Roxbury.  She was a resident of Stoughton since 2017, previously spending over 60 years and raising her family in Canton.  She was a homemaker.  She was active at St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton for many years, singing in the choir and teaching CCD.  Bucky was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues.  She enjoyed cooking and was known for her famous pies.  She also enjoyed entertaining at her home and pool parties as well as camping on Cape Breton Island in Canada.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. 

Bucky is survived by her children, MacDonald F. Conti and his wife Deborah, Lauren L. Conti and Dante C. Conti and his partner Heather Groves, all of Stoughton.  She was the grandmother of Alex M. Conti, Jenna M. Conti and Andrew L. Conti.  She was the sister of Joan Enos, John Flynn, Paul Flynn, James Flynn and the late Russell McDonald, Lloyd McDonald, Randall McDonald, Maurice McDonald, Richard Flynn, Edward Flynn and Robert Flynn and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) on Tuesday, February 28 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bucky’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
