Wayne M. Shepard

After a brief but courageous fight, while comforted by his loving wife Laura family and dear friends, Wayne lost his life to cancer on August 21, 2020. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Wayne a true Southern gentleman expanded his life and horizons with his 30 year marriage to Laura DeSimone. He came to cherish his Northern home, career, new family and countless friends. His life was filled with travel, adventures, beauty and appreciation of diverse and new places and people. Incredibly talented and creative, Wayne was a passionate gardener either creating and caring for his own or admiring the work of others from Europe to Asia, Africa, Australia and more. His entire career was in retail where he was known for his dedication to the success of his employers and the caring and mentoring of his co-workers.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, James Shepard and Priscilla Wilson and step father Charles Wilson. In addition to his wife, Laura, mourning his loss are his father and mother-in-law, Pasquale and Eleanor DeSimone and brothers-in-law, Robert DeSimone (Dorothy) and Christopher DeSimone (Cheryl). Also mourning his passing are his siblings, Judith Forehand Starkey (James), Sue Novak (John), Carol Natoli, Mildred Nell (Larry), James Shepard (Ceary), Charles Shepard and Garri Shepard. Wayne adored his many nephews and nieces, providing guidance through their lives.
