William R. McIntyre, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Friday, April 17, 2020, on his 84th birthday at the CareOne Nursing Home in Randolph, after a long illness. He was the husband of 62 years of Elizabeth A. (Mariano) McIntyre. Born in Boston, he was raised in the South End and was a graduate of Boston Trade School. Bill was a longtime dedicated member of Ironworkers Local 7 in Boston for over 47 years, retiring several years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering and building projects both big and small around his house and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. McIntyre was the father of William P. McIntyre and his wife Sheri of Easton and the late Sean P. McIntyre. He was the brother of the late George McIntyre and is also survive by his beloved granddaughter Madison L. McIntyre of Easton.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, private family services will be held with a celebration of Bill's life to held at a later date. Interment will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452
